The Shenk Alumni Lab Reunion (SALR) is held every year at the International Herpesvirus Workshop. Present and former members of Tom Shenk’s laboratory gather to exchange ideas and insults. Importantly, current members of the laboratories of the Shenk alumni are invited to facilitate communication and collaboration, and to hear embarrassing stories about prominent herpes virologists. A good time is had by all.
